Designed by renowned architect Tom Clark, the Yorktown is a 7,000 yard championship course. Accurate tee shots are required to successfully maneuver your way around the Yorktown course. With it’s strategically placed fairway bunkers and subtle fairway bends, a successful round of golf on the Yorktown requires accuracy from the tee. The back nine features three par fives that give golfers plenty of opportunity to make up strokes that may have been lost on the difficult par three fourteenth and seventeenth holes. The Yorktown course was recently named to Golf Digests list of top 50 courses “most playable for Women.”
You can also pair the Yorktown course up with it’s sister course the Jamestown and condo lodging at the adjacent Greenspring’s Vacation Resort to get that stay and play feel but not at stay and play prices.
Yorktown Course offers best year round fairways in Williamsburg
Williamsburg National’s Yorktown Course is the only course in Southeastern Virginia that over seeds fairways with seasonal rye grass. This practice ensures good playing conditions year round and provides fantastic definition from the tee in the off and shoulder seasons.
